Support
You can commission ISWAN to operate an independent, 24-hour, confidential emotional support service for your crew. We can share top-line, anonymised reports with you to provide an insight into the challenges your crew are facing. This live, interactive, online training by the International Seafarers' Welfare and Assistance Network (ISWAN) will help participants to recognise early signs of crew who may be struggling and develop the skills needed to respond effectively.
Training
Could you tell if someone needed help? Would you know what to do? ISWAN's training is designed exclusively for the maritime context and informed by clinical expertise and direct seafarer insights. The training aims to help participants recognise early signs of crew who may be struggling and to develop the skills needed to respond effectively.
Seminar
Designed for seafarers’ spouses, children, parents and siblings, this interactive seminar aims to empower families with information and resources so they can support and communicate effectively with their loved ones at sea and understand the challenges of their work.
Our vision
ISWAN supports seafarers and their families around the world with our free helpline services, educational resources, relief funds and humanitarian support. We also work to drive change within the maritime sector for better health and wellbeing amongst seafarers, using data from our helplines and our teams in India and the Philippines to identify areas of need and inform new projects and research.

Whatever your business objectives, as an ISWAN member your organisation or company can take advantage of a number of opportunities and also help us to continue to offer direct services to seafarers in need.
Do you offer services directly to ship management companies only, or do you also provide support to other maritime stakeholders?
While our primary focus is on commissioned services directly with ship management companies, we also operate a number of referral helplines for various maritime stakeholders. These referral helplines allow us to extend our support network and provide assistance to a wider range of individuals and organisations within the maritime community. However, our main emphasis remains on our commissioned services with ship management companies, ensuring they receive tailored support to meet their specific needs.
