ISWAN's Project Manager Caitlin Vaughan joined the first webinar in Standard Club's Seafarer Wellbeing series to discuss the challenges seafarers are facing during the COVID-19 pandemic.

On Thursday 21 May 2020, Standard Club hosted the first webinar in its Seafarer Wellbeing series with ISWAN’s Project Manager Caitlin Vaughan.

Caitlin joined Standard P&I Club’s Director of Loss Prevention Captain Yves Vandenborn and Managing Director James Bean to discuss the multitude of challenges seafarers are facing due to the COVID-19 world health pandemic.

The live webinar covered contract issues where seafarers are stuck on board or at home, restricted communications, financial worries and socialisation on board. Information, advice, and useful resources to help seafarers manage their wellbeing were also shared with the audience.

A recording of the webinar can be viewed here, and a Q&A document answering all the questions submitted during the webinar can be downloaded below.
