Purser Trainer offers the blended online IAMI GUEST Accredited Purser Training as well as the IAMI GUEST Accredited Mental Wellbeing Course. Both courses equip students with essential skills and in-depth knowledge, ensuring successful pursers, welfare and safeguarding officers.
Purser Trainer was established in 2018 primarily to teach aspiring Pursers aboard super yachts. It has become so much more, as not only is the course internationally recognised now and fully accredited, but as a welfare enthusiast, I ensure all my students are fully informed about crew welfare and arm them with the knowledge and skills to assist crew who need it. The role of the Purser is also that of the Welfare Officer, Safeguarding Officer, so it is imperative for Pursers to understand welfare and mental health, and assist crew in signposting to professional help as and when necessary.
Honesty and transparency are the top two values that Purser Trainer lives by. Ensuring that all information provided is up-to-date, transparent, and delivered in a personalised and bespoke manner. With one-to-one training, Purser Trainer is able to forge a relationship with students, offering more than just training and a certificate at the end. Included in the package are mentorship, support, and empowering students with knowledge of their rights and boundaries, along with an understanding of the industry.
